We are a Christ-centered, multifaceted human services and homeless shelter. We strive to be a light for the homeless, less fortunate, and the hurting. We serve the Joplin, MO area and are conveniently located right in downtown Joplin.
Who We Are
Souls Harbor was established in 1982 by Dr. Art Jones and his family when he saw a need of a “shelter” for the homeless men, women, and families of the area. With this vision to clothe, feed, counsel, and share the Lord Jesus Christ with the less fortunate, Souls Harbor came into existence. Souls Harbor is guided by a board of directors from the community and local churches. Souls Harbor receives no government assistance and is totally supported by churches, organizations, businesses, and individuals concerned for the plight of the homeless.

Send a Donation to Souls Harbor
Giving online has never been more secure, convenient or hassle-free with our one-click donation. We also do accept standard cash and check donations at our office at 817 South Main in Joplin.
Donate to Our Food Pantry or Free Store
You can make a positive impact by donating items that will be given for free, directly to those who need them the most. Food donations can be made at our office Monday thru Friday, 9am to 3pm. Donations of clothes, shoes, toys, housewares, and other items in good condition may be made at our Free Store Monday thru Friday, 9am to 3pm.
Become a Souls Harbor Volunteer
Become directly involved by volunteering in one of many roles at Souls Harbor. From Pantry to office workers, counselors to prayer warriors, there is a role perfect for you.
